Investment Management

We call our fee-based investment program ROADMAP. It stands for Relationship- Oriented Advisor-Directed Managed Account Program. In line with our overall vision, we strive to create long-term relationships with our clients. We feel that a fee-based approach better lends itself to developing those relationships.

We will work with you to determine the goals for your portfolio.  This includes expected time horizon for the investment account, if or when you will need income from the portfolio, your risk tolerance, your risk capacity, and of course, expected returns.capacity, and of course, expected returns.

This is formalized in an Investment Policy Statement which will outline the methods we will use to manage your portfolio. The Investment Policy Statement will describe which asset classes we will include, how often we will re-balance, and more.often we will re-balance, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions - ROADMAP

Where will my account(s) be held?
We use Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services as our primary custodian. Your accounts will be held by Fidelity.

What is your management style?
Modern Portfolio Theory is at the heart of our management system. The idea is to build a portfolio that will have lower volatility at a specific level of expected return, and/or have a greater expected level of return for a specific level of risk.

How do you select investments?
After we have selected the asset classes that we will include, we screen potential investments (mutual funds and ETFs) using the Fi360 Fiduciary Score® which is a peer percentile ranking of an investment against a set of quantitative due diligence criteria selected to reflect prudent fiduciary management.

How much do you charge?
We charge 1% per year of assets under management. Fees are calculated and charged monthly, in advance. Fee breakpoints are available for accounts over $1,000,000.

What is the minimum account size?
The minimum account size is $150,000.

Can I combine accounts to meet the minimum?
Yes, we will combine your accounts to meet our minimum.

Can I transfer in existing holdings?
As long as Fidelity IWS can hold the investment, we can usually transfer it in from your current custodian.

What reports will I receive?
Fidelity provides a monthly statement showing all activity and month-end holdings, as well as the annual tax documents. In addition to the custodial statements, we provide a quarterly performance report.
